Visit with Max + An old friend Passes

On February 1, 2013, Mark Wallace stopped by the hospital in Corinth, Texas, to check in on Max.

Max is still required to stay there while his treatment and care are still underway, but he’s looking good and will tell you he feels fine. He’ll also let you know how poor the TV is in the room.

While there, we recorded this short message regarding the recent passing of his long-time friend, Morris Southall. Here’s a link to Morris’ obituary. Below is Max’s message.

New Public Invitations

With the corrections to the video introduction successfully uploaded, Mark Wallace has started sharing this website and the project more publicly. We have also added tracking to monitor the number of people visiting the site to better gauge levels of interest.

We invite you to share this site with others who might be interested in seeing this project actually happen.

Thanks for visiting and your support!

Latest Video Version

A new version of the overview video has been uploaded. Due to unfortunate timing, the latest version has a few graphical glitches that will soon be fixed, but the editor is out of the country until early December. However, the earlier mistakes in content from the initial draft version have been corrected.

Thank you for your patience while this currently unfunded project is getting started.

If you would like to help make this project a reality, please email markwallace@coachmaxgoldsmith.com

Until next time!

Film Transferred Delayed

The films from the 50’s and 60’s that Max has provided this project have been delivered to a reputable transfer house, but currently that company’s service is on hold while keep equipment is being repaired. Due to the unique nature of these systems, there is no immediate target date for the equipment return/repair or for when the transfers will be completed.

Running towards History!

We’re glad to inform the world that we are making strides towards telling on interesting and wonderful story about a night when 2 National High School Track Records were set by some talented Andrews, Texas, athletes competing under the coaching of Max Goldsmith.
